Since the first triennial opened in Nationalmuseum in 1965, the exhibitions have been important manifestations that trace current trends in production and presentation in the art of printmaking. They have visualized a synopsis of the innovation and tradition that at each epoch define modern Swedish printmaking. The main organizer of all the triennials has been Grafiska Sällskapet.
Grafiktriennal XVI opens up for participation from all the Nordic countries; Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland and the autonomous territories of the Faroe Islands, Greenland and Åland and welcome all printing techniques provided that the working process of printmaking is essential and clearly evident in the art works. Grafiktriennal XVI strives to explore and present a vital section of contemporary Nordic printmaking. It wants to reflect upon the most profound movements in the image selection and point to the fact that contemporary printmaking as an art form is ongoing and pre-eminently vibrant. The exhibition goes on a nationwide tour in Sweden during 2020. From the opening at Galleri Sander in Norrköping, it makes its way to Trelleborgs Museum in the south and further up to Luleå and Kulturens Hus in the north. Preparations are currently under process for the exhibition to be displayed in other Nordic countries after 2020.
The exhibitions are as follows:
Galleri Sander, Norrköping 25 January – 14 March 2020
Trelleborgs Museum 4 April – 23 May 2020
Luleå Art Gallery 29 August – 1 November 2020.

ARTCENTER SILKEBORG BAD 2018
Deconstruction of formations” is a series of woodcut works and engravings.
The inspiration has been found in the area of “Ørnsø”- a lake in Silkeborg. The starting point for the process has been photographs taken in the woods and by the width of the lake. The woodcut works is a study of nature processes, the forming or destruction of material, the creation and deconstruction of formations. Through infinite repetitions and rhythm, fabricity and structure occur. The works symbolize the volatile and the fragile, what occurs, changes and passes away.
From 19/6- 16/9 2018.
